The Business Challenge

Behind the success of every eCommerce project lies a robust business plan and execution. Such was the case with the TRAVAH brand. When Randy approached the Meliora team, he had several objectives in mind to scale his business. His main goal was to migrate from an Amazon Marketplace seller to a Shopify store to:


  • Optimize his conversion rates
  • Gain more control over his clients’ communication and retargeting
  • Showcase his products functional benefits in a captivating manner
  • Improve his brand image and set himself apart from the knock-off competitors
  • Improve his organic reach - via SEO optimization and a dedicated content strategy

To achieve that, he needed a reliable partner with a wide range of services and experience and a solid CMS that would allow him to scale his store as it grows in numbers.

What we did

We spent more than seven weeks working on the TRAVAH business case as we were responsible for the development and the design as well! Initially, we launched with a Discovery session: break-down of the business goal and transitioning them into executable design and development objectives. Following was a modern yet functional design overhaul according to the latest UX/UI methodology. It was vital to migrating the existing traffic from his Amazon store to a new dedicated Shopify one. To keep the momentum of brand trust, we used the Opinew Product Reviews App to integrate the reviews for the products from Amazon into TRAVAH's product pages.

To bring everything together, we used a dedicated content strategy with SEO optimization to increase the organic traffic on the website.

Once the store was up and running and there was sufficient traffic, we used CRO methods to optimize the conversion rate, increase the average basket value and reduce the overall drop-rate.

We made sure the client’s requirements for the migration were all addressed by collecting survey data. We developed the store by using the Flex Theme, imported all the Amazon customer reviews, and got the final touch by customizing the product page.

The client’s most important desire was for the store to have a clean and soft look and feel in the blue/grey range. This is why we paid close attention to make sure we will design the flawless and user-friendly experience that TRAVAH has today. The carousel elements on the Product pages create the dynamic and modern look of the store.
